Wordpress Plugins for Beginner Bloggers

I’ve been blogging on a self-hosted website for a little over a year now. While I don’t consider myself an expert, I know that I’ve learned SO much that I want to share with y’all! I spent hours and hours looking through different articles, forums, and posts about how to set up your blog. There is so much information it can be overwhelming. The main reason that a lot of people use WordPress is because it’s so easy to customize and because there are additional resources, called plug-ins, that allow you add endless features and functions to your blog. Today, I’m going to share the 7 Best WordPress Plugins for Beginner Bloggers. This is the list that I wish someone had given me straight off the bat!

One of my favorite things about California Central Coast is the fact that everything GROWS there! Whether you’re looking for fruits, veggies, sunflowers, grapes (or wine), you’ll find it here. We took advantage of it fully this weekend and hopped over to Avila Valley Barn for a fun little day.

god's purpose

There are two mutual seasons that tend to occur in our lives: bountiful harvest and intense doubt. I’m sure everyone has been in these times. Everything is going good, but it seems to good to be true and you feel overtaken by lack of confidence. God’s purpose for you seems clouded in mess of uncertainty.

Maybe you worked and worked to get a new position at work, but thoughts of “do I really deserve this? Am I going to mess it up?” creeps into your mind. Perhaps you labored over your school work but wonder whether you worked hard enough. You planned an event but feel like canceling because you’re too nervous. Maybe you’re like me and you graduated early but now find yourself at a loss of what to do, fearing failure around every corner.

“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.” – 1 Peter 4:10

outside lands (35 of 41)

This post is mainly going to be a hodgepodge Outside Lands Photography Diary. The second two days (fueled by a cold) were a blur of great music, cool outfits, and sunshine mixed with fog. Also – Delight the Details has a new look? What do you think?! I love how a little revamp always makes me motivated. Anyways – back to the Outside Lands pictures!

If you’re looking for views of the Golden Gate Bridge, your best bet is to skip Baker Beach, cross the bridge and head for Marin County. Last week, we spent the day Sausalito and the Marin headlands to celebrate my mom’s birthday. Check it out below!

giving give Philippians 2:4

My heart has been heavy, heavy, heavy these last few months. With natural and human-inflicted tragedies, with travesties, with injustices, with prejudices, with things that people around me experience that just. plain. suck. Sometimes, I feel like everywhere I turn has a new problem that is hurting people. Even as this post sat in my drafts, a new event broke my heart, again in the life of someone I love. The majority of this post was already written and somehow it got even more relevent.

outside lands (18 of 41)

I’m currently sitting on the couch with a major Outside Lands hangover. No, not a real hangover, a I’m-sick-from-no-sleep and I’m-more-tired-than-I’ve-ever-been hangover. It was an incredible weekend full of fun, food, and friends. I played photographer for the weekend and am mostly going to be sharing photos of my cute friends. Check out all

arches national park (11 of 18)

Here we are at the final stop on our road trip! At the end of the week, we swung down to Moab, Utah to stop by Arches National Park. It’s another one of the desert National Parks located in Southwest Utah and boasts some of the coolest geological features in the US. Our experience at Arches National Park is gorgeous, albeit slightly dampened by our less than enthusiastic attitudes towards the end of a 10 day camping trip. Check it out below!

coffee chat

Today, my heart is aching to share something different. When I first created a blog, back in 2014, it was to share my opinion – on politics, on life, on faith. It shaped its way into a platform to share my hobbies and passions: travel, photography, and style. But there are parts of me that also miss the way that I used to write, for encouragement and to share something special. The picture above is from those days. Today is for the women who need that encouragement, me being one of them. You have purpose, you are special, you are called to a Kingdom greater than you can imagine.

So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
2 Corinthians 4:18
